Keynsham Station to be made Accessible to All

It has been announced by the Department of Transport that Keynsham Railway Station is to be made accessible to all. 

According to this press release by the Department of Transport (http://www.dft.gov.uk/news/press-releases/dft-press-20111206d) Keynsham has been included in the list of stations to be made more accessible.

There was no official confirmation as to what these improvements would consist of but we are aware of the ongoing negotiations between First Group, Bath & North East Somerset Council and the Department of Transport concerning funding for ramp improvements. It would seem with this news that the construction of the new ramp will go ahead in 2012.
